Responsibilities

We are looking for an outstanding candidate who is able to conceptualize, implement and tune predictive models, using unique behavioral data as input, to produce meaningful business insights, let it be hiring, retention predictions, or performance forecasting. Traits matching this role include an inquisitive mind showing an interest in behavioral and experimental economics, willingness to take on multiple roles, attention to details, hard-working attitude, and critical thinking skills when challenges arise.

  • Build, implement, and optimize predictive behavioral models by applying statistical, machine learning, and deep learning techniques.
  • Leverage strong math skills and statistical knowledge to advanced data mining and data analysis activities.
  • Decipher patterns within large quantities of data and reference key characteristics using visualization techniques.
  • Demonstrate strong programming skills in large-scale data analysis SQL, R, Python and Java.
  • Fully test algorithms and code to ensure the highest level of credibility, reliability, andmaintainability.
  • Interface with economists, development team, and project manager to formulate and suggestsolutions for analytics features and functionality.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, data science, or informatics with a specialization in AI and machine learning is requiredExperience with data science toolkits and programming language, such as R, Octave, Python, Scala, Tensorflow.
  • Experience in Big Data such as MapReduce, PIG, or HIVE is a big plus.
  • Experience in data manipulation language such as SQL is a big plus.

Position: Content Economist

Responsibilities

We are looking for an outstanding candidate who is well-versed and trained in economics, passionate about education, willing to take on multiple roles, detailed-oriented, motivated to work hard, and able to think critically when challenges arise.   

  • Work closely with our customer success team to create and revise games and their support content such as manuals, instructions, teaching structure, student notes, question banks, summary analytics, and data export, in response to the market demands.  
  • Conduct research using our own data to write insightful and analytical short essays and/or white papers on teaching with games/the pedagogy of active and experiential learning, potential applications of our games, and more.    
  • Cultivate, nurture, moderate and, lead a MobLab instructor community.   
  • Work closely with the advisory and management team to continuously develop roadmaps for new designs for existing games or games for new topics, and to discover novel applications or new marketing opportunities for our games.  
  • Work closely with the design and engineering team to translate and articulate the underlying economic theory and models for our games into easy to understand language and implementable specs.   
  • Interact with our customers, both instructors and students; this including promoting our platform/technology/games/vision at conferences, on campuses, and on various social outposts, and giving guest lectures when necessary. 
  • Work with the design and testing group to routinely evaluate our games in terms of their applicability at the targeted class level, effectiveness of delivering of intended teaching points, and user engagement.  
  • Hands-on, energetic, organized, pay close attention to details, and a team player.  
  • Work in-house full time. 

Qualifications 

  • Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Economics or related field, experience in experimental economics/behavioral economics, and evidence of research. 
  • Teaching experience, preferably at the principles level

We are looking for someone who shares our passion and has a particular set of characteristics: detail-oriented, dedicated, and organized. The person must also possess the expertise and temperament to hold conversations with our target customers, university faculty members, departmental administrators, and instructional designers. The Account Manager will have the following responsibilities:

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of MobLab games and experiments and utilize this knowledge to successfully create a scalable strategy to package MobLab with our partners.
  • Build long-term, and mutually beneficial relationships with existing and new customers through instructor training, and post-use customer interviews.
  • Maintain consistent communication and timely follow-up with customers and channel partners and be available and responsive to their real-time needs.
  • Work effectively with internal support departments (Marketing, Sales, Product Development, and Customer Success) to continuously refine lead qualification criteria and ideal customer model.
  • Enter and maintain account data and notes in our CRM in a timely manner.

Requirements

Responsibilities

We are looking for an outstanding candidate who will perform a critical role in the software development process.  The candidate will be designing and executing tests, analyzing results, and recording bugs in our products while working collaboratively with the project manager and development team to improve the process and software.

  • Develop testing procedures based off specs provided by content economist and communicate with development on core and edge testing cases to ensure product is robust.
  • Design and lead systematic testing to ensure optimal performance across desktop browsers (Mac/PC) and mobile platforms.
  • Examine and analyze game content for bugs.
  • Document bugs in tracking database, i.e. JIRA, DevTest/Track, Bugzilla, etc.
  • Maintain QA process documentation.
  • Liaise with development/production team and project manager to report on testing progress and defects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2 years of QA testing experience with knowledge of testing methodologies and the test life cycle.
  • Systematic attention to detail and documentation.
  • Good at thinking of ways to break things in a reproducible way.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in English language skills both written and verbal to document and report issues.
  • Must be a team player, able to support the development/production team under tight timeline pressure.
