Position: Educational Technology Sales Specialist

Locations: Pasadena, CA (Headquarters) and Dallas, TX

Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who shares our passion and has a particular set of characteristics: detail-oriented, dedicated, and organized. The person must also possess the expertise and temperament to hold conversations with our target customers, university faculty members, departmental administrators, and instructional designers. The Sales Specialist will have the following responsibilities:

  • Work with our sales assistant to carry out bi-weekly sales bursts.
  • Conduct remote sales through email campaigns, phone calls, and online demos.  Also, conduct field sales through campus visits and conferences.
  • Help with marketing, instructor training, and post-use customer interviews.
  • Enter and maintain sales data and notes in our CRM in a timely manner.
  • Work with the rest of the sales and marketing team to continuously refine lead qualification criteria and ideal customer model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Economics or Business related field.
  • Temperament to communicate with target customers (energetic but listens first).
  • Be proactive and willing to go the extra mile for exceptional customer service.
  • Desires to be a student of sales as well as social science and business fields.
  • Willingness to travel (work full time at office when not on the road).

Extra Credit

  • Master’s Degree in Economics
  • Background in Experimental or Behavioral Economics
  • Studied psychology and/or education
  • Sales or account management experience
  • Student in a class where the instructor used MobLab
