Responsibilities

We are looking for an outstanding candidate who is able to conceptualize, implement and tune predictive models, using unique behavioral data as input, to produce meaningful business insights, let it be hiring, retention predictions, or performance forecasting. Traits matching this role include an inquisitive mind showing an interest in behavioral and experimental economics, willingness to take on multiple roles, attention to details, hard-working attitude, and critical thinking skills when challenges arise.

  • Build, implement, and optimize predictive behavioral models by applying statistical, machine learning, and deep learning techniques.
  • Leverage strong math skills and statistical knowledge to advanced data mining and data analysis activities.
  • Decipher patterns within large quantities of data and reference key characteristics using visualization techniques.
  • Demonstrate strong programming skills in large-scale data analysis SQL, R, Python and Java.
  • Fully test algorithms and code to ensure the highest level of credibility, reliability, andmaintainability.
  • Interface with economists, development team, and project manager to formulate and suggestsolutions for analytics features and functionality.
  • Translate business questions into definable metrics and concrete actions. Ability to explainthe story the numbers are telling, test hypotheses with numerical data, and identify problemareas.
  • Complete written documentation and report results in the form of business reports, internaltechnology white papers, and statistical system documentation.
  • Hands-on, energetic, organized, meticulous attention to details, and a team player.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, data science, or informatics with a specialization in AI and machine learning is requiredExperience with data science toolkits and programming language, such as R, Octave, Python, Scala, Tensorflow.
  • Experience in Big Data such as MapReduce, PIG, or HIVE is a big plus.
  • Experience in data manipulation language such as SQL is a big plus.

Position: Customer Success Representative

Location: Pasadena, CA (Headquarters)

An ideal customer success representative embodies our brand through conversations with our users; both university faculty members and students.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain consistent communication and timely follow-up with customers. Be available and responsive to their real-time support needs.
  • Lead marketing efforts (Social Media, Blog, Newsletters, Support Articles) to improve user experience and success stories.
  • Work effectively with internal support departments (Marketing, Sales, Product Development, and Customer Success) to continuously refine lead qualification criteria and ideal customer model.
  • Enter and maintain account data and notes in our CRM in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Economics or Business related field.
    • Highly qualified undergraduate interns will be considered.
  • Temperament to communicate with target customers (energetic, but listens first).
  • Be proactive and willing to go the extra mile for exceptional customer service.

Position: Sales Representative

Location: Pasadena, CA (Headquarters)

We are looking for an outstanding candidate who has the high-energy, hands-on and goal-skills to drive the sales activities of the company. You would need an inquisitive mind showing an interest in working in the EdTech industry, willingness to take on multiple roles, passion for education and economics, and willingness to travel. You would be expected to be detail-oriented, motivated to work hard, and able to think critically when challenges arise.

Responsibilities

  • Forecast and achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets.
  • Conduct sales research on our target customers for sales campaigns.
  • Assist with marketing, instructor training, and post-use customer interviews.
  • Conduct activities to build pipeline of targets through cold-calling, networking, presentations, and demonstrations.
  • Directly engage and influence key decision-makers by promoting MobLab on campuses through faculty visits, participating in live demonstrations and guest lectures, and providing classroom support.
  • Maintain daily activities in CRM, timely tracking of interactions with prospects and customers.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to create and revise games and their related content such as manuals, instructions, teaching plans, student notes, question banks, summary analytics, and data export, in response to market demands.
  • Possible travel.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Marketing and data analytics experience.
  • Ability to learn on the fly and take initiative on new projects.
  • Bachelor’s in Economics or Business related field, or expected degree Spring/Summer 2018.
